I get asked all the time if I use rebates. Yes, I do. I love rebates. I really like them when I can get the items for free or close to free using coupons and then still send in for a rebate.
This is how I do rebates-
I photo copy my recipe on one side of the paper and the other I make a copy of the rebate form and the envelop. I write the date on the top of the paper of when I mailed it. I then file it with my other rebates. This is how I keep everything organized. I know what rebate forms are out and how much I should be expecting along with the form itself with important information on it. When I get the rebate check I move the paper from the rebates that are out folder into received rebates. I started doing rebates like this when last year at Christmas I sent in a rebate for $50 and weeks went by and then months and I finally called and spent close to three hours on the phone. I did not have the receipt because I had mailed it in- long story short- I had no way to prove that I had bought it or sent it. Now if that ever happens again I will have all the information that I need.
